Pearl Jam has finally officially announced the details of the band’s next album.
The 11th studio effort from the grunge icons, and the first since 2013’s Lightning Bolt, is called Gigaton and will arrive March 27.
“Making this record was a long journey,” says guitarist Mike McCready.
“It was emotionally dark and confusing at times, but also an exciting and experimental road map to musical redemption,” he continues. “Collaborating with my band mates on Gigaton ultimately gave me greater love, awareness and knowledge of the need for human connection in these times.”
In support of Gigaton, Pearl Jam will embark on a North American tour this spring. The outing launches March 18 in Toronto, and will conclude with a two-night stand in Oakland April 18-19.
